Referee Personally known for 3 Years

Dear Members,

Having looked at the Postal AN Form dated 01 July 2021, on Page 20 Section 5, the requirement is for the Referee is to have known the applicant for 3 years personally.

However, after filling the online form the downloadable Referee Declarations (It is a common form for both MN1 & AN as seen in the header of the webpage rather than the title) and the Form Guide Page 17, which is linked on the page for the online form, neither state the 3 year requirement. They simply state the referee must know the applicant personally.

It is easier for me to use a more recent referee who has only known me for 2 years than use an older referee who has not seen me in the past two years due to the pandemic. Any advice and your interpretation of the guide would be appreciated. Thank you.

They must have known you for three years, as clearly stated on page 10 in the document below.

Cheers Char! I strongly suspected that would be the case. Strange that if anyone were to go solely by what is given in the online form and the links, it merely says known personally and no mention of 3 years.

Not worth risking the application on such a small detail.
