Citizenship ceremony — within 3 or 6 months since approval?

Hello,

I read on the website that the timeline to attend a citizenship ceremony has been extended to 6 months due to COVID

https://www.gov.uk/citizenship-ceremonies
Usually you must attend a citizenship ceremony within 3 months of receiving your invitation from the Home Office. Because of coronavirus, this has been extended to 6 months.
However, in the e-mail that I received it states:
You must attend your ceremony within three months of the date of this approval email, so please contact the local authority early to ensure you can book a convenient time.
Of course in a way it makes sense to trust the letter directly as website could be out of date or referring to an earlier COVID period, but this really complicates my plans as I was going to be abroad the next few months.

Any help and clarity is appreciated!

I spoke to my council today regarding this and they said it's 6 months although speak to someone at your local council to confirm what their situation is.
