Hello everyone

I received the Citizenship Invitation letter from Home office on Mid September 2021 and attended the Citizenship ceremony on end of September 2021. Note that the certificate had incorrect name at birth. . The details on My application form was correct but It's an error made by the case worker it's not my fault .

I have posted my Original Certificate of Naturalization for correction along with filled RR form and supporting documents on 24th September 2021 via Royal Mail to the below address;
UKVI, Department 201,
The Capital Building
Liverpool, L3 9PP.

After two weeks I sent a letter to check the status and requested safe receipt of my request and asked when I can receive corrected certificate of Naturalization as I need this document to apply for British passport. Later on I sent 2 more letters to chase, but till today I haven’t received any communication yet on this subject.

I have send many emails to our MP, I got response like they are chased this with Home Office but no response has been given yet from the Home Office.

It's almost an year, I applied for citizenship on March 2021, Now am a British without having any travel document . I cant apply for British Passport without the corrected naturalization certificate, I can't surrender my Indian passport.

As anyone gone through with this same situation ? Please let me know how long I need to wait? I am frustrated Please let me know how to chase up? and whom to contact - any email or contact details Please ?

Please advise me on this as this would be really helpful for me.

Hi TejuMahesh - was there any progress I'm now in the same situation and have no where to contact, I too need to surrender my Indian Passport. Did you have to pay fine for not surrendering the Indian passport beyond the timeline. Any update will be really helpful.
