Naturalisation eligibility - relocating

Hi All

My spouse and I were granted ILR in Nov-2021, and so should be eligible to apply for naturalisation in Nov-2022.

I have been told of an opportunity at work that requires relocating to the USA for 18 months. If I were to relocate to the US by Jun/Jul-2022, keeping within the 90 days limit, would I be able to apply for naturalisation in Nov-22 whilst visiting the UK?

My spouse works as a contractor under her own company and we are both also employees of that company (and will continue to be even whilst not in the UK). Would that be enough to prove continuing residence / connection?

I know this is a tricky situation, but this opportunity at work does not arise everyday and I want to try and take it if there is little impact.

Thanks

No I believe. Your Passport will show that you are living in USA and based on your intention to settle in UK, your application might be rejected. You are better off coming back and applying then or agreeing to work from UK for your employer for a while before moving temporarily.
