First post here .

Am currently filling the online forms for my 12 year old daughter to become a UK citizen and than apply for a UK passport .

When she arrived here 4 years she was fingerprinted in at LHR Airport and was issued a BRP card with SETTLEMENT written on it ...... so my question is does she need to attend a biometric appointment again as part of the citizenship process or does her existing BRP card provide these details ?

Thanks in advance

She likely needs to attend a biometric appointment for photo and fingerprints and identity check.

Presumably you are British and the other parent holds ILR??

Thank you for your reply so i presume its an update of those biometric details and to ensure its still the same applicant from initial entry applying for citizenship

Yes i have held a britsh passport since 2014 and my hubby is english by birth but is not the childs birth farther.

Ye, as children change quite a bit in short space of time.

Where is the child's father?

childs birth father is unknown has never been an issue with our immigration journey travelled so far ....my hubby of 11 years is British by birth and treats her as his own child .

Should be fine then.

Your husband and her step father is irrelevant to her MN1 application.

British nationality laws disregard step parents completely.
