MN1 Biometrics for 2 years old

Does 2 years old need their biometrics taken? I've seen older topics saying that under 6yo don't need to give fingerprints, but does anyone know what the current guidance is?
From the guidance - https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -enrolment:
"Children under 18 applying for registration as a British citizen must also enrol their
biometric details. Children under the age of 6 do not need to provide fingerprints, but
must have a digital photograph taken of their face"
