Hi forum, hope you are well.
I wanted to ask if a newborn baby to a naturalised British Citizen (father) living overseas will automatically be entitled to citizenship and can register for the passport? If so, what documents and paperwork are required.
Many thanks in advance.

Provided that the date of the birth of the child is on or after the date of the naturalisation certificate, the child is automatically a British citizen by descent and can apply directly for a British passport with a copy of the parent's naturalisation certificate and the child's birth certificate naming the British parent as a parent.
Be aware that first British passports for children born on the Indian sub-continent can take six months to a year.
Also be aware that while the child will be a British citizen automatically, their children (the British citizen by naturalisation's grand children) born outside the UK will not be British citizens automatically. British citizenship is restricted to one generation born outside the UK.

I currently hold British Citizenship via my father, though was originally born in France. Will my child born in Japan be automatically entitled to British Citizenship?

The previous post may have answered your question:
British citizenship is restricted to one generation born outside the UK.
On the face of it your child born abroad (second generation) is not automatically British.
