Applying for naturalisation after 11 yrs on ILR

Hi,

I had my ILR done in 2011 based on old rules with no Life in UK test necessary. After 11 years, I have now decided to apply for naturalisation. Do I have to pass the English language test along with Life in UK now? Also, what documents do I have to submit now that it has been 11 years since I got my ILR

Any replies much appreciated

Thanks

Srini

Yes, both are mandatory.

English language test not necessary if the OP happens to have a suitable UK degree.

Thank you for your responses. Now another question is, do I have to provide evidence of stay like address proofs for all the 11 yrs since I am on ILR?

I am confused whether submitting continuous residency proofs for the last 5 years would suffice or do I have to prove the continuous residency for the whole of 11 years, as this would be quite difficult as I have got rid of all the old council tax bills and such. Any responses are much appreciated

If they are satisfied that your ILR has not lapsed or been revoked, then you may be okay.

Thank you for your response. I had applied for my BRP card for the first time since ILR in 2018(not aware that I actually need BRP till then). So hoping if I submit the last 5 years residence proof, it would be satisfactory. Will keep you posted as to how it goes. I have just booked my english language and Life in UK tests. So some way to go
