Return of supporting documentation after passport has been issued

Hi,
Can anyone clarify how supporting documentation (certificate of naturalisation and national passport) is returned after the British passport has been issued?
I only got a communication from HMPO when they send out the British passport, that contained the TNT tracking number. In that mail they stated that supporting docs would have been returned whithin a14 days, but no indication on how to track it.
Now 14 days have passed and I did not get anything.I should say I paid for secure delivery.
