Ecctis letter issue

I'm a nurse applying for naturalization this year. One of the documents being required is an Ecctis letter confirming qualifications and degree certificate to check knowledge of English. However upon application to Ecctis I was told that my Bachelor's Degree is of lower standard to the British one.
But in the government website regarding 'knowledge of English' for visa application says that doctors, dentists, nurse and midwife "do not need to prove knowledge of English if already passed an English Language assessment" - which I had done 2016. Can I just disregard the Ecctis document requirement or is it possible to just take another English exam (I did IELTS before) to satisfy this requirement?
