Dear all,

I am currently in the process of applying for British Citizenship through naturalisation. I am a Sri Lankan Citizen by birth and would like to retain my Sri Lankan citizenship under Dual Citizenship.

I read on an Immigration website when we complete the British citizenship application we can opt to retain our current citizenship status. Please can you advise if this is possible and where I can mention this in the application?

Retaining of your foreign citizenship has absolutely nothing to do with ukvi and not something they can consider or grant to you.

This is wholly dependent on the laws of Sri Lanka, so you need to find out from there
