British passport application - Turkish national

Dear forum members,

I am asking this question on behalf of a friend. He had his citizenship ceremony yesterday and submitted the application for UK passport. His Turkish passport had expired and he has submitted the application for new Turkish passport which is still being processed. To the best of my knowledge, one needs to send uncancelled passport and original citizenship certificate to home office via post.

What should he do? Should he send his old passport (expired) and citizenship certificate to HO? Or, should he wait for the new Turkish passport to send the new passport and citizenship application?

Would be grateful for your guidance/ thoughts,
Mitra

He can send the old passport (recently expired) with his certificate. What you have you have, and what you don't have, you don't have.
