Mistake with referees

Dear experts,
Sorry if this was brought up earlier - couldn't find it.
Having the following problem - I submitted a naturalisation application for my wife with 2 referees who are related (husband and wife), didn't read full instructions properly, so totally my fault. Am I right thinking that I need to withdraw the application and submit another one with correct referees? It's with UKVI at the moment, waiting for an approval to apply via IDV app, so withdrawal with the refund should be possible.
