Hello Everyone,

I have two small question please.

I have a settled status after 3 years of Exceptional talent visa.

1- My question do I need to wait until I live 5 years in UK to apply for citizenship or only one year after the settled status (My visa says settled status not ILR).

2- I first came to UK (Tier 5 PBS visa) September 2017, I left the country (visa expired) 28 September 2018, and I came back to UK (Tier 2 PBS visa) January 2019. Can I use this year (2017-2018) in my stay in UK or I can't as l've been outside the country without visa.

Regards

Full EU Settled Status is ILR though slightly different from UK ILR - you can apply 12 months after obtaining EUSS, except if you are married to a British citizen, then you could apply now.

2- I first came to UK (Tier 5 PBS visa) September 2017, I left the country (visa expired) 28 September 2018, and I came back to UK (Tier 2 PBS visa) January 2019. All periods referred to in the naturalisation application are calculated from the application date back, i.e. five years residency, absences, etc. You can't include or chose different periods.

Regards

My settled status is not from EU application but after spending 3 years in Exceptional talent visa GTV, can I apply after 12 months of getting the settled status or I need to wait for the 5 years...

For citizenship, you need 5 years residence. All visas count.

You must meet the absence requirement.

Thank a lot for the information, do you measll visas count even if stayed outside the UK without a villa visa for 2 months.

2017-2018 in UK Tier 5
2 months outside UK while waiting to switch visa without a valid visa

2019-2021 GTV
2021 Settlement status

Can I use the 2027-2018 year even if I stayed outside UK without a valid visa in the Midlands of my 5 years period?
