Apply for UK citizenship(after 12months?)

Hi, I don't see any related post so I open a new post here.
I am planning to apply for UK citizenship on the 1st of October or December 2022.
- I am eligible to apply for UK citizenship on 29th Sep 2022
- Live in the UK for almost 11 years, I got an ILR visa on 29th Sep 2021
- I was in the UK in last 5 years ago(a full year)
- Outside of the UK, less than 15 days total in the last 12 months
I am considering applying for citizenship on 29th Sep 2022 then will go back to my home country for about 30 days if possible OR I will apply after I trip in Dec 2022.
Q. Should I apply for citizenship by 29th Sep 2022? or can apply anytime after Sep 2022?
Q. Is it possible to apply for the citizenship first then travel to my home country for 30days? As far as I know the application process takes 2-3 months?
Any advice for me? Thanks for your support.

You must apply on or after 29th Sep 2022 (make sure you are in the UK exactly 5 years before the date you submit your application), you cannot apply before that.
Q. Is it possible to apply for the citizenship first then travel to my home country for 30days? As far as I know the application process takes 2-3 months?
You are free to travel after submitting your application. It is your choice whether you want to apply before or after you travel..

Thank you for your kind reply. YES, then I am going to apply in 29th Sep 2022 and will visit my home country for month time.
Should I concern anything during my trip ? Any documents should I send/upload during the time in my home country?
Apply in 29th Sep 2022
Travel from 15th Nov to 20th Dec 2022(1month+1week TBC)

Note: there's no deadline for naturalisation, apply anytime on/after 29 Sep.
Personally I would apply after I return from a holiday, just to be on the safe side.

1. Best to provide some cushion and apply from the 30th of September 2022.
2. Same idea, make sure you were in the UK 5 years + 1 day from the day of application (5 years+ 1 day is the rule, the words "exactly five years are misleading").
3. You might or might not be asked to book an appointment for biometrics, which, usually, are available for free a month later. It would be wise to hold on any travel after you have attended this appointment (or until UKVA has confirmed you don't need an appointment), not immediately after you apply; or to simply apply on your return.
