British citizenship 12 months pending

Hi everyone,

I submitted my BC application through the 10 year route in September 21. I have yet to receive a decision. Since march 22, I have been sending numerous emails to HO to enquire. There was one reply from them saying that my application was approved in Jan 22, but I have not received any emails or letters from HO or my council. So I explained that to them, and since then I’ve not had any further information.

Is anyone experiencing the same problem? Please can anyone advise what I need to do?

Do you still have the email that says you were approved? That's generally where they tell you to get in touch with the council to book the ceremony. There is a time limit to book it, due to COVID they extended the limit to book the citizenship ceremony to 6 months, but if you were approved in January that has elapsed by now. Who did you contact? I have seen people here advising the following email addresses: furthernationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk, NationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk, citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.uk

I have not received any official email or letters from HO or my council saying that my application was approved nor an invite to book a ceremony. I sent an email to furthernationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and they replied saying it was approved in Jan. I then replied to say I never received any approval letters/invite. And since then they never got back to me…
Maybe I should try sending emails to the other two email addresses…

Oh wow that's really weird. I'm sorry. Try getting in touch again, asking your MP to chase sometimes helps moving things along.
