Citizenship Application Query

Hello,
My citizenship application has been approved and I have not booked my ceremony yet. Due to personal circumstances and dependency in my home country, I would like to continue in my ILR. Could you please help me whether I can skip the ceremony and continue to keep the ILR? If I miss the ceremony would it be a problem to renew my ILR BRP (since it expires in 2024? )
Thanks,

Yes. You only become British once you attend the ceremony. If you don't attend the ceremony within the timeframe, your certificate is simply sent back to HO. You also lose the fee you have paid.
If I miss the ceremony would it be a problem to renew my ILR BRP (since it expires in 2024? )
No. BRP's are being phased out

If your BRP expires on 31 December 2024
You do not need to tell UKVI if your BRP expires on 31 December 2024 but your immigration status (for example, your visa) allows you to stay longer.
You will not need a BRP from 1 January 2025. You’ll be able to prove your immigration status online, without a BRP.
UKVI will update their information on how to prove your immigration status in early 2024. You do not need to do anything and your immigration status will not be affected.

Thank you, CR001.
So it won't affect my immigration status and still continues to be ILR?
Thanks
