hi there,

I have ILR since 2021 AUG , will apply naturalization around NOV (due to 90 days rule for last year) so do not have the British passport yet - and my wife on the BPS dependent visa.

We have a baby born on 19th of AUG this year , and we will be registering her this coming Tuesday.

After the registration , I would want to know if she can apply for British passport directly as I am having the ILR as father , but when i check the website for the new passport application it is asking British passport details for the parents , so not sure if i am doing the correct process , please kindly someone to clarify if i need to do something different.

Regards
Burak

Congrats for the new baby!
By registration you mean registering the birth at the local council? Baby was born in the UK?
As you had ILR on the birth date baby is automatically a British citizen.
All you need to provide is normally the UK birth certificate and your ILR BRP (if born in the UK). The passport application caters for all the different paths applicants have a claim to British citizenship and may suggest all sorts of other documents. Clealy you can't provide documents you don't have or need. Make sure you keep a copy of the documents as they have to be sent in original.
