Applying for Naturalisation

Post by sandeepdabas » Sat Oct 01, 2022 7:38 pm

Hi,

I am applying for Naturalisation next month, after completing 1 year after ILR. Can you please let me know, what information should be provided for the question below? Do I need to provide details about my previous visa application before I got ILR?

Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

Thanks

Thanks. What if I don't have one reference missing? Is it fine to provide the BRP reference number as a substitute?

Yes fine.

The question does say 'IF KNOWN'.

I am also applying for my daughter, she is under 18 years. My wife's application is in progress, she applied a few months back. The decision on her application is still pending.

My question is for the section - Are either of the parents of the child (as stated in this application) applying for naturalisation as a British citizen on an AN form?

What should be the answer?

If you are also applying for Naturalisation at the same time, you should answer "yes".

Thanks.

One last one, Do I need to be in the UK exactly one year prior to the date I apply?

I recently applied for naturalisation for me and and my daughter (Child). After submitting the form i realised that for my daughter one of the referee should have been a professional engaged in professional capacity such as teacher, health visitor, social worker. However I have both the referee's from Bank profession.
I haven't done the biometrics done. Should I withdraw, and reapply?

Explain in the cover letter that the person you have put as a referee for your daughter knows her well?
