Hi all,
8 years + Settled Status. I have 99 days excess absences in the last 1 year, everything else is OK. I have written a cover letter just in case explaining my trips.
How do I fill the actual form?
Should I do?
1. Do you meet these residence requirements? Yes
2. Are there any reasons why you cannot meet the requirements to become a British citizen (for example, you have had too many absences from the UK)? Yes
2.1 Please provide further details Please see attached cover letter.
3. If you do not meet the statutory requirements to become a British citizen, are there any special circumstances why you think the Home Secretary should still grant your application? No

I've researched the topics, but no conclusive answers.

Up to 100 days absences are normally disregarded in the last year. Are the absences during the overall qualifying period below the threshold?

You can apply here https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... 1665433767

Hey, thanks for a quick reply. I have the form all filled up and ready, but I don't know exactly how to answer those questions in the form that I have mentioned.
The overall 5 year absences are ok, well under the limit.

Sorry, I misunderstood your initial post. I think that is OK, though if you want to be just extra sure you could wait until your absences fall under 90 days.
