Overseas Passport application, future intentions

Hi everyone

Just wanted to ask about something that was bothering me about future intentions.

I was naturalized in 2015 and left UK on 2018.

I’ve applied for my passport in UK in 2015 right after naturalization.

Would applying for a UK passport renewal for myself from overseas cause future intention issues?

I’m also in the process of applying for my daughter’s first British passport, who was born overseas in 2020. In the application I have to state that we reside overseas, so again not sure if this will cause an issue for me.

The "future intentions" aspect applies to applicants at the time of application. If an applicant submits that he doesn't have the intention to make the UK their home or it appears as such then an application could be refused at the time.

However, as a British citizen as such you can come and go as you wish, and also forever, just like the "natives". Otherwise you would be discriminated against. So no issue, neither for your child.
