Naturalisation queries

HI All
My wife is planning to apply for Naturalisation, I am a British citizen (since 2015). She has been in the country since our marriage in 2012. Can you please clarify if she is eligible via the 3 years route as partner for BC ?
Does the 3 year route have any advantage or if it same as the 5 year route ?
Thanks
Sam

Yes, if she meets the 3 year requirements.

No, both routes end in exactly the same result. No advantage or anything.

1. Is it okay to book a free appointment while waiting for the IDV app confirmation ?
2. Do we need to upload the documents on UKVCAS site even if we use IDV app ?

While uploading the documents on UKVCAS website only Proof of application where description mentions passport is mandatory,
1. Are the other documents from the checklist to be uploaded in the optional sections like Other, Residence in UK etc ?
2. Also my partner has a new and old passport I am assuming the site will allow to upload 2 passport entries or do we need to merge the scanned copies ?
Thanks

Passport is proof of residency. - what is the checklist asking for specifically? You can load everything into "other".

Only the passport(s) covering the residency period required, i.e. for 3 or 5 years.
Thanks

Thank you. By checklist I meant the mandatory documents like B1, partner's passport, Marriage certificate etc. I have now read that these documents need to go in the mandatory section itself, please confirm ?
Thanks

Yes those are mandatory not sure why they don’t list them as such. Again don’t worry about the categories “other” is fine.

Just realized we made a mistake with the below field, instead of the applicant name we put ILR.
Name in which you made the application - Indefinite Leave to Remain
We haven't received any confirmation of IDV app or UKVCAS after submission 2 weeks ago. Any idea if this error might be reason ?
We booked a free appoint in couple of weeks time , is there anything we need to do to inform of the error during the appointment or writing a cover letter will do ?
Thanks in advance.

I very much doubt this error could affect anything - and don't think they are already working on your application - would be nice but unlikely. After all, they will have you on their system with ILR being the last application.

Thanks, will be ready for the UKVCAS appointment as the IDV confirmation email hasn't been sent since submission 3 weeks ago.

We have now uploaded and submitted the following document for my wife's application. Still have to go to the Biometrics appointment as no confirmation received for IDV app.
1. Current Passport
2. B1 CEFR for English speaking and listening qualification
3. Proof of living in the UK for applicant for 5 years if applying in your own right or 3 years if
applying as the spouse of a British Citizen
-- My understanding is passport is enough for this?
4. Marriage or civil partnership certificate
5. Two referee declarations
6. Husband - proof of British citizenship - Passport
7. Current Biometric Residence Permit for applicant
Some additional documents uploaded -
1.Child birth certificate
2.P60 for last 3 years
a. Please confirm if the above documents are sufficient for the naturalization application ?
b. Also for the Proof of living passport is enough as evidence ?

Thanks CR001 for the confirmation.
Regarding the overall documents I assume what we have submitted will suffice as the list is the checklist provided by UKVI post application confirmation ?

Naturalisation is not an immigration application, it has it's own requirements under the British Nationality Act.
Only a minimum of documents is required.
