Citizenship

Hi everyone

My wife is from the Philippines on the 5 year route to citizenship. I'm a British citizen. In march she would have been here 5 years. We done the 2.5 year extension and now the 5th year is coming up. I was wondering what happens next as she needs to pass the life in the uk test which I've read could take a while. She currently has a residence permit . What happens if she hasn't passed the life in uk test and the permit expires?

Thank you for your help. The help on here for her 2.5 year renewal was great so thank you for your help.

If she can't pass LITUK, she cannot apply for ILR; you should apply to extend the FLR(M) again before her current visa expires if the end date is looming and no luck with the test. If she can get it done while decision is pending, vary application to settlement.

There is probably enough time between now and March to prepare and have a good chance at passing. Get good preparatory materials and she will most probably be alright.

She may want to search on Google for "lifeintheuktestweb"
