Child registration as British Citizenship questions

Hello, my wife and I received our settlement card recently and now looking to get our UK-born child to register as British citizens using the MN1 form. I have started to fill in the form and had read a bit about references. She is now in Year 1 at school. My first question is, do we need to use a teacher as her 1st referee? I am thinking to ask our friend as the 2nd referee, but also got me thinking if I can just ask 2 friends (over 25) instead, if possible. The reason for asking this is, I am a bit uncomfortable to ask details such as the teacher's home address. Thank you in advance for your kind help.

Ask friends, that's what most people do. Very few teachers would part with their personal details.
Imagine a teacher giving her details to every child in her class. Name, DOB, Address and Passport number. Not happening if I was a teacher!

The HO are aware of these complications and are lax with kids.

Hello, it is now another question from me. Not sure what this section is for, but I've answered NO for now. Can I ask what is this question meant for?

Do you have any other details that you would like to be considered regarding this applicant and their application to be registered as a British Citizen?

I also need to ask about these if I can get any help please:
1) Documents

If XXXXXXX told us that their parent is a British citizen then you must provide us evidence of their citizenship. This could include their British passport, a certificate of citizenship or their birth certificate.

If XXXXXXXXX told us that their parent is settled in the UK then you must provide us evidence of their settled status. This could include a BRP, a letter from the Home Office, an endorsement in their passport or another document certifying permanent residence.

I have to tick the 1st too, to progress to the next page. I take it with the 'if' use, so it is OK for me to provide the ILR BRP as no.2 above but no British passport etc since it is not applicable?

Also I've gathered that I will send the following documents (since some of the items in the list can be combined):
UK birth certificate (with my wife and mine as parents), PBS BRP (from birth -expiring today), Parents' marriage certificate (with translation), 2 references forms, parents consent form, passport

2) Declaration

I am a representative of the applicant and have been authorised to act on their behalf and have discussed and confirmed the contents of this application with them

OK to use this as I am filling the form on my child's behalf?

Thanks in advance :)

Sorry I tried to edit but no luck. Missed 2 questions:

1) Documents
I was meant to list the documents I have gathered to upload and submit, so just trying to get 2nd opinion if I have missed anything.

2) References
How does the referee know the applicant?

I answered: Friend of parent
Is this OK?

Probably of no significant impact on your application.
This will be relevant if there are things to clarify and or others things that may have to be talked about to improve the chances of success of the BC application.

Is this OK? Perfect, child is 5 0r 6, so definitely has no friends that old.

Hello, I have 2 more questions if anybody can help please.
1/ passport scan - Ok for just the first main page? Or do I need to scan every single page?

2/ ukvcas online says I can click to submit documents now to UKVI before the biometric appointment. If I don't do this, will the ukvcas staff help to submit during my child's biometric appointment to complete the application? Just asking because I didn't get this option during our ILR application.

Thank you in advance.

It's the HO adapting to the times. If you can't or don't click it, the UKVAC would do it for you after biometrics.

Thank you in advance.

Hello all, we have attended our child's biometric appointment on Dec 30th 2023. Until today, we haven't heard anything about our application yet. Is there a way to check what's the status? Is 3+ months a standard waiting time? Do I need to follow up, and if so who can I contact for this?

Thanks in advance.

The standard processing time is 6 months. Sometimes it is quicker, sometimes it is longer.

Still no news :(
Hoping that successful letter will come through soon, as we're nearing June.
Date fee paid: 6/12/2022
BRP date: 30/12/2022

I guess, I can start asking on 7/6/2023 ?
If so, what is the best way to contact please?

Lodge a complaint and involve your MP.

Ok I think it is time to try the complaint and MP route since I have not received any email or letter until now.
Can you please advice on how can I do this?
Sorry if this has been covered multiple times, I didn't find the right info while searching, maybe I didn't search the right keyword.
Thanks in advance.
