Cover Letter for AN & MN1 application due to long immigration history

Dear All,
I have applied for BC for me & my child ( born abroad) few days ago. I'm yet to upload documents & give biometrics.
I have had the ILR more than 2 yeasr & my wife & this child ( other child is BC, born in the UK ) got theirs last year Auguest.
I haven't overstayed or any grey areas in 14 years in the UK
My child & wife got their visa refused due to some typo on my previous CAS ( tier 4) they had go up to JR & eventually granted the visa. However they have had approx 4 months gap but this was 10 years ago.
On thier ILR application , our soclicitor mentioned everything & they have been granted ILR without an issue.
On the AN & MN1 application ( joint) there are "if known" questions regarding previous applications. I have filled these " Catogories " of visa such as tier 4, FLRO , SET(LR) but did not emphasis on dates , etc.
My question is , should I write a cover letter explaning immigration history ( specially of my child's ) ?
Also , to prove continous residencey , do I have to scan & upload every page of my / my child's previous passports ? or pages with embarkation/disembarkation stamps enough ?
I would appriciate if an experience member could advice on above,

Many Thanks
S

Also , to prove continous residencey , do I have to scan & upload every page of my / my child's previous passports ? or pages with embarkation/disembarkation stamps enough ? It's a case of half empty half full. Some say just the pages with stamps, I say all pages of passport if you can afford it. Rest of mind kinda thing.
