Do you still get send BRP?

Hi there, maybe I'm a bit confused but do you still get sent BRP after you attended your biometric appointment? (I'm a EUSS with 18 years residency, (plus all of the other schemes before that))

The biometric appointment is only to enrol your fingerprints and digital photo. You do not get sent anything after this.

Do UKVI actually contact referees? Not that there is anything dodgy but it would make sense to know if they do and get some sense of where the application is if they do reach to them. Anyone heard from theirs?

For Naturalisation, no they do not get contacted. Even if they did, this would not give you any indication of 'where the application is'.
For passport applications, yes they are.

UKVI have their own means to verify your referees and if they are suitable. If they are not, you will be asked to provide another one.
