Naturalisation application for spouse and child

Hello all,

I am looking for advise regarding my spouse and child's naturalisation applications.

I recently got my British Citizenship approval from Home office.

My spouse and my child (1-year old) are currently on ILR which they got in June and August last year(2022) respectively and they both are in the UK.

Would it be possible to make their applications now or will they have to complete 12 months on their ILRs before they can apply?

Also, can they make a joint application?

Thank you.

If you have not attended your ceremony yet, you are not British.

Was your child born in the UK or born abroad?

If you are not British, your wife has to wait 12 months. Once you attend your ceremony and are British, then she can apply provided she meets all the requirements based on 3 years residence. You can include the child in her application.

Child can register as British when your spouse does as soon as you are British after your ceremony.
