If you're travelling to Pakistan on a British passport, you will need to get a visa before you travel.
If you have a Pakistani passport you won't need a visa. Maybe contact HMPO to have the passport returned? Or a valid NICOP can be used.

The UK travel advice states you can enter Pakistan with the NICOP for unlimited stay, doesn’t mention PK passport.
Never travelled that route but you should be able to
- leave UK with British passport + NICOP as visa
- leave PK with BP no visa to show for UK.
But check with the carrier first.
