Naturalisation Application

Hi Everyone,
I have applied for my naturalisation in Jan 2023 and the decision is still pending. I have no convictions at the time of my application. But, this week i received a letter from police for over-speeding on M4 and which i am sure that i will be getting a speed awareness course as it is the first offence + my speed falls under the eligibility criteria.
- Do i need to inform home office regarding the speed awareness course? if not, would it not be considered as dishonesty and good character requirement? Will my application get refused due to this?
- Is the above traffic offence related to change of circumstances?
Thanks in advance to all

Speed Awareness Courses are not convictions and won't give you points on your licence.
You don't even have to advise your insurance. So in that respect you are not withholding anything.
Though first I would wait to see what happens. They can still decide to issue a fine and points - courses are at their discretion.
If you do get fined send an email to one or all of these addresses:
british-citizenship/nationality-enquire ... l#p2093594. It's not something applicants get failed on, unless they have a history of offences, get taken to court, don't pay fines, etc.

Hi Alterhase58,
Thank you for replying back.
Absolutely, If I get a fine then yes i will inform the HO.
I was at 58 mph on 50 mph temp. speed limit. It says on the letter the eligibility criteria for speed awareness course is 58mph to 64mph. Based on this i am hoping to not receive a fine.
So, Do i not need to inform the HO if i get an option of speed awareness course and i am doing the course?

Hi Alterhase58,
Sorry to bother you again.
two more questions:-
1. If i get speed awareness course and not informing them. Would it not be considered as dishonesty as a good character requirement?
2. Is this not a part of change of circumstances?
Sorry again to bother you on a sunday. I hope you understand the stress.

I thought I answered that already.
Answer is still the same for points 1&2, no. You are overthinking. Change of circumstances would be change of address or worst of all you are convicted of a criminal offence….
Personally I didn’t mention my Speed Awareness Course anywhere, some years back.
Appreciate this causes stress but caseworkers aren’t looking to trip you up.

Your employment status is not a factor for naturalisation
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
I don't know why I am remembering things after applying the naturalisation application in Jan 2023.
I missed out two below things in my naturalisation application:
Info 1 - Greece visa stamp on my passport which I did not travel due to covid-19 back in 2020 but provided this in my ILR application in the past but not in the naturalisation. Can I provide this now or not required?
Info 2 - TOC application submitted to change my name which i did not mention it in my application but provided them change of name deed document with my naturalisation application. Do you reckon I should tell them now?
If I should provide them the above info then what is the best email address?
I am sure this is the last advice I would require and i promise i wont disturb anyone after this.
Please experts advice me on the above?
Thanks a lot

Not an issue, naturalisation is separate from immigration.

Is your name change visible, i.e. your official document is in old name and application in new name? Then they would understand the significance of the document. Don't really follow where this name change comes in. They would recognise the document I expect.
If I should provide them the above info then what is the best email address?
I am sure this is the last advice I would require and i promise i wont disturb anyone after this.
Please experts advice me on the above?

Thank you so much for responding alterhase58
Thank you for the 1st point.
So, 2nd point in relation to change of name or I would rather say split of name as my Indian passport had no surname in the past only the first name which also includes the surname under first name.
For example
On old passport:
First name- AAAA BBBB
Surname - Blank
New passport:
First name - AAAA
Surname - BBBB
So, I made an TOC application when i was on Tier 2 to inform HO to correct my name on their records after i received my new passport with correction.
So now do I need to inform them about this application I made in the past as they ask about the previous applications made but forgot to mention this one but mentioned others?

TOC application isn't an immigration application, it's for when you already have limited leave. So on the face of it nothing to be explained. It's doesn't seem to be something that is vital for a naturalisation application.
