Hi there
I have cerenomy 22th of March at 11am, but would want to know if i can make online passport application before cerenomy or one day earlier to post my passport and the certificate after the cerenomy as there is a strike on 3rd of April.
So is it mandatory to await the cerenomy or is there any informarion needed pn the online application to provide the certificate number etc?
Thanks for clarification

1. You are not British the day before ... but I believe you can save a draft.
2. You need the certificate number to fill in.

Stick to an existing topic, please, since you were given the answer.
Also I hope your flag is correct, as after the ceremony you would have to return your BRP and your British passport may not be ready in a month - check if you can go to UK visa free if you're not Argentinian.

It can and more often does, take up to 10 weeks for a passport.

You need to allow for 10 weeks for a passport, it's a worst case scenario but it does happen. Even though the processing times seem quicker now there's a lot of variation and I know cases that took longer than 3-4 weeks recently. Plus, the strike announcement generated an increased demand as people panicked and many are applying ahead of the strike. So overall it's very likely the average processing times will increase.
I think best to postpone your ceremony and do it after you come back. Unless you can enter UK visa free as in that case you would still be able to come back on your original passport, so you could only postpone passport application.

hi there,
I made online application but used the bottom right number which is 7 digit instead the certificate no which was 8 digit.
I already posted the certificate and passport itself , should i call them for correction on my application?
Do you think would that be a big problem or cause rejection of my passport application?
Many thanks letting me know
Regards,

So you just picked a different number, didn't make a mistake typing it in?
I would expect HMPO caseworkers would spot this, but it doesn't invalidate your certificate which says you are British.
Personally I would leave it - every time you want to change something or even cancel, it adds time to the whole process.
If it's such a problem they will get back to you asap.
