Hi All,

Hope you are doing well.

I just received the naturalization confirmation.

My wife got an ILR in Feb 2023 and is eligible for naturalization in Feb 2024.

My kids are 15 & 11 and they live in the UK since Dec 2012 ( more than 10 years) and are now on FLR M visas.

Here is some information about my kids :
⁃ My Daughter was born on March 2008 (15 years old), Son on May 2012 (11 years old) - both were born outside the UK
⁃ Came to the UK in Dec 2012 and has been living since.
⁃ Granted FLR M in July 2021 (based on long residency).

Can we apply for our kids as naturalization / British citizens and how?

Thanks
Senthil

No you cannot. Your kids need to apply for ILR. To be free of immigration restriction is a requirements for British Citizenship. That is what ILR gives you (freedom).
No shortcut for kids or anyone born outside the UK.

I wouldn't be so sure?

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... gistration
Children who have lived in the UK for more than 10 years
Children will come within this category if:

the child is in the UK lawfully

the parents are in the UK lawfully

both parents give their consent to registration (unless good reasons are provided)

there is no reason to refuse on character grounds
