Hello,
I am a Romanian national that has been living in Ireland since I was 3 years old. I've moved to the UK in 2015 to continue my studies so I've been in continuous education from 2015-2022. I've been granted Full EU settled status 2 years ago and do not have any absences over the requirements.
On the UKVCAS document upload portal do I just upload 5 years of evidence that I was a student?
I've uploaded 2015-2017 College education certificates/degrees and 2018- Aug 2022 Bachelors University Degrees,Student Finance letters.
I have not worked for a company but I did do some self employment work as a freelance web developer while studying and have transactions people paying me but not over the tax threshold also parents supporting me from Ireland so I would'nt have any tax, payslips things. Am I also required to upload bank statements alongside the education certificates or would just the certificates be enough?
I do have bank statements from 2018-2023 but nothing previous as I closed a previous UK student bank account back in 2018 and no longer have statements of transactions but I do have transactions after 2018-2022.

Employment is not a requirement, but if you submit self-employment tax returns to HMRC then that would be suitable to load. Bank statements are not accepted as evidence of residency but your study documents should be sufficient.

As explained not required - also there are no specific financial requirements.

Hello @alterhase58
Thanks for the detailed support response.
I understand. I was just curious if they would ask for further evidence that I was self sufficient while as a student so thought I'd add the bank statements in case but if it's not mandatory with the education then saves me trouble gathering the yearly statements.
Thank you again for the quick reply! Appreciate it.

Hi,
In regards to the UK naturalisation application. Can I use an Irish citizen professional Engineer with degree and over 25 with address in Ireland? I read that they can be of any nationality but does it mean that the referee needs to have UK address?
My second referee is of British nationality over 25 years with UK passport and address. They are a professional photographer / video production

Note there's no concept of self-sufficiency for naturalisation - I did say there are no financial requirements. And if you have heard about CSI then don't worry about that, it's no longer a requiement for naturalisation.

Please keep all your posts in this thread.
Referees can be resident outside the UK as far as I know, as long as they qualify as referee.
Acceptable professions from guidance: "engineer (with professional qualifications)" - did he qualify with a professional engineering body? A degree only is not a professional qualification.
