Hi,
i need bit of hlep in reagrds to my wife naturalisation appication.
here is the history:
i'm birtish citizen and my son ( 6 year old) is a british citizen.. my wife got ilr on long residency ( 2018)
now i want to apply her naturaisation application.. as part of residency reuqiement. unders 5 year route she been out of uk for 712 day in five year period.
in those 712 days 682 days she was out from 2019 (oct ) to 2021 ( aug) roughly.
this happend only due to covid restriction and non availiblity of fights.
can she still apply of naturalisation application or should she has to wait until she falls under 450 days as per the residency rule.

secondly can she apply as british spouse route as i'm british now. which is 3 year residency as well.( 270 days)
any help would be highly appreicated.

Wife can apply as spouse of BC - 3 year route, subject to the requirements.
As for the five year period absences there’s no specific dispensation for Covid absences but discretion may be available- check the absence guidance. Note discretion is not automatically given.
Alternatively wait til the total goes down to a more reasonable level.

Note that she has to be Physically present in the UK on the day, 3 or 5 years to the day when applying (depending on what route you're going for).
This might be the tricky part, based on the lump absence.
