Hi, is it ok to laminate naturalisation certificate once british passport is received? Reason i am asking is if its original will be required in future without lamination?

Do NOT laminate it. It is the only document that proves your citizenship. It will not be accepted by a government department if it is laminated. A replace certificate costs £250. A passport is just a travel document.

To keep it safe, put it in a decent plastic document folder.

A regular discussion point .... HMPO can and sometimes do ask for documents, even for renewals.

An unlaminated original naturalisation certificate will almost certainly be required when applying for the first British passport for your children and grandchildren. Preserve it carefully. As CR001 mentioned above, that is the only definitive proof of your British citizenship. A passport is only prima facie evidence of British citizenship.
