Passport application after naturalisation

Hi,

Thanks to a ton of useful information on this forum that guided me on my road to becoming BC, I am happy that it all went well and that I will have my ceremony next week.

I have 2 questions (and subquestions) about this:

1. What will I receive at the ceremony? Can I apply immediately after the ceremony for the British Passport (will I receive certificate at the ceremony or do I have to wait for it for some time)? Basically, if ceremony is on Thursday morning, can I apply for the passport on Thursday afternoon?

2. My wife has ILR for 3 months now and I know that she can apply for naturalisation when I become BC (no need for 12 month wait, also she fulfils all other criteria). However, same question as for me, will she be able to apply on Thursday afternoon or will we need to wait that I receive some other documentation in the upcoming period?

Basically, what document do I need for my passport application and what she needs for her naturalisation application? Is it the same document and will I receive it on Thursday immediately after the ceremony?

Thanks!

1. You receive e the certificate at the ceremony. Yes once you have it you can apply for a passport.

2. Yes, you become British once you attend rhe ceremony.

Have you read rhe passport guidance notes at all?? You need all uncancelled passports and rhe certificate.

Your wife needs all the same documents you submitted for citizenship plus proof of your British citizenship and marriage certificate.
