EU citizen after naturalization, have a few questions

Hello, I am an EU citizen and recently I have received an approval of my BC application, I will have a ceremony next month. I still have a few questions:
1) What happens to my settled status, will it get removed from the system by itself or I need to do something (I never had BRP card etc)?
2) The ceremony will occur on 15/06, I'll need to go abroad in the end of July. As I know, when I first apply for a British passport I will need to send my current EU passport to the HO, will I get it back soon because otherwise it might affect my plans to go abroad in the end of July. Do they send it separately from British passport?
3) I have a son who is born abroad, he got a settled status from me and he is almost 2 years now. Is he eligible for British citizenship now or he needs to wait?

Gone as is. Might still be active in the system, but you don't need to worry about it.

You won't get it soon - see timeline thread
british-citizenship/british-passport-ap ... 80618.html for approximate timelines (docs are returned separately). If you really need to travel, wait until you've done your trip and apply for British passport then; since you're an EU citizen, you'll be okay boarding a plane to the UK and you can show your naturalization cert at the border, explaining the situation.

Eventually EUSS will disappear from the system when they catch up. Note that a British citizen cannot hold an immigration status. There are still some priviledges for EU citizen which are covered through the Withdrawal Agreement. But in the UK your BC trumps.

Foreign passport and certificate is normally send after you receive your British PP.

Children born before you became British don't automatically gain BC through you. You will need to register child via form MN1 and pay the fee, etc. Please refer to the guidance: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... 1-guidance

You don't need to do anything.

Apply for your British passport when you come back. There's no telling how long it could be held for. More so, the new British passport always arrives before your other passport.

You can register him now if you wanted to.

There is no way not to send my current passport? I.e. to visit a passport office

Unfortunately not.

Oh that's a shame. When I get a certificate, can I apply for a new passport and send all my documents on the same day?

Thanks for the reply. As I understand I can also apply for a passport later (i.e 3-5 months after getting a certificate)? I mean, there is no requirement to apply for a passport?
