Hello, I have a few questions about the "previous immigration applications" part of the form. My first entry clearance application was made in the US under my maiden name in 2002, after that was granted I applied for ILR while living in the UK under my married name. As my husband and I are separating I'm applying for citizenship under my maiden name which my passport and all other documents are in (my ILR is in my passport with maiden name).

Should I provide both my entry clearance and ILR information and will it be a problem that my ILR acceptance letter from the Home Office is in my married name?

Provide all applications details, this also asks for the name under which you applied.
Your naturalisation application is separate from immigration and there shouldn’t be any issues regarding names used. The application will ask for other names you have used, so you will disclose your married name.

I've been a homemaker and I will need to find work soon, but I have an old paper ILR visa from 2002 in an expired passport which I understand isn't accepted as showing "right to work" anymore and I will need to transfer my visa to BRP card for free, but I now have my citizenship application ready to submit. I read that a BRP card can take 6 months to arrive but I can show employers that I've applied and that will be enough proof to work immediately, but what happens if I also send in my citizenship application and I'm approved but my BRP hasn't arrived yet in order to destroy and return?

Also, can I use the biometrics that I have to get for the BRP for the citizenship application too?

Your naturalisation application has no impact on your current visa/ILR/residency status until you have actually become a British citizen.
You can apply for a BRP in the normal way - of course it's anybody's guess which you'll receive first.
Can't comment on re-using the biometrics, naturalisation is not part of the immigration system, perhaps others may be able to clarify this.

Thank you. Re-reading and I think I misunderstood and that the BRP has to be returned 5 days after the ceremony, not the approval letter, is that correct? In which case it should be fine.

You cannot reuse biometrics. They are two completely separate applications and processes

I started my BRP ILR visa transfer application and I've gotten to the part about providing documents such as utilities to prove continuous residency since I received my ILR 21 years ago. For the citizenship application I only have to provide my ILR and passports to prove residency, is this accepted for the BRP visa transfer as well?

Naturalisation and BRP renewal are different applications with different requirements. Nationality is separate from immigration with it’s own framework in law.
Suggest you provide what is required.

My ILR was granted in 2003 and is in an old passport, could someone please confirm that all I need to provide to prove residency for my citizenship application is scanned pages of all passports, old and new?

Also, in the paper application form there is a requirement to sign a declaration that all information is correct, but on the online form I was only given a box to check… was there supposed to be a form for me to download and sign?

Only provide the passports that cover the residency period 5 or 3 years, plus a copy of the passport which has the ILR stamp/vignette.

Ticking the box and submitting is the online equivalent, no separate paper form.
