Hello,

I am applying for my daughter's passport and it asks to send the below. However on both sides they are abroad and I dont have these certificates with me. What can I do?

Send all of the following for both maternal grandparents:

full birth or adoption certificate (showing both the child’s and parents’ details)
grandfather’s marriage certificate to your grandmother (if this applies)
And all of the following for both paternal grandparents:

full birth or adoption certificate (showing both the child’s and parents’ details)
grandfather’s marriage certificate to your grandmother (if this applies)

NOTE:- I am applying for daughter's passport based on father's ILR. Neither parent is British. But father has ILR prior to child being born.

Grandparents' details are not relevant for daughter's application. The passport form caters for all different citizenship pathways.
Just provide BRP and birth certificate.

Yes but those documents are not relevant as grandparents are not British. Application based on parent’s ILR.

So just apply and don't send those documents even though on the online application it asks for it?

If grandparents are not British there's no point sending their docs - child's claim to British citizenship is through your ILR at date of child's birth in the UK.
