Hi ,

I am applying for daughters British Passport from India. She was born here in the UK and at the time held Indian passport. She lives in India for last 3 years and she is 6 years old now. Could someone help me with below queries please,

- Whether to send original documents to the Home Office ?

- On the passport application it asks for place of issue on Certificate of Registration ( On the certificate it doesn't mention that, it just says Issued on the direction of secretary of state Home Office London) ?

- Is the Countersignatory needed for childrens application on the passport application?

It is HMPO that do passports, not Home Office. You need to complete the paper form for passports from overseas. You don't use the online form.

Obviously it is 'Home Office London'!!
- Is the Countersignatory needed for childrens application on the passport application?
Yes, it is mandatory for all applicants. Must be a professional British citizen (per HMPO list).
