Hi All,
My child was born in UK in 2019 and i got my ILR last month in Aug 2023. Can I apply for british citizenship registration for my child? Yes
I am using following application form please confirm if it is correct?
"TYPE OF VISA / APPLICATION: Apply for registration of a child under 18 as a British citizen Correct
Choose which category to apply under. You are a child under 18 and: You were born in the UK. One or both your parents are settled in the UK" Correct

Also i have following questions please advice:
Q1 - I am applying as an applicant since my kid is minor?Child is the applicant
Q2 - Have you had settlement in the UK? No - selected No since he holds dependent visa. is this correct? yes
Q3 - Have you lived at your current address for 5 years? No - selected No since he was born in 2019, i have included the address details from his date of brith. Can you please suggest if this impact his application since it is less than 5 years? do we need to wait for 5 year completion?No, it's fine as it is
Q4 - Are you relying on your parent's permanent residence (either as an EEA National or the family member of an EEA National) as evidence of their settled status in the United Kingdom? No - selected No because this question was under heading of EEA parents permanent residence and i am non-EU resident. is this correct?NA
Q5 - documents list includes following.
doc1 - passport copy of applicant son - included
doc2 - proof of parental responsibility of father and mother both - will provide birth certificate
doc3 - If applicant told us that their parent is settled in the UK then you must provide us evidence of their settled status - copy of ILR brp of father only since both the parents i.e. his mother is not holding ILR. will this suffice the requirement? Yep, that would be fine. If and when your husband becomes British, he needs to retain his ILR BRP, that's your son's claim to BC.
doc4 - letter of censent from parents
doc5 - parents marriage certificate
doc6 - two referee declaration - do i need to provide the physical copy of signed declaration? or the information filled online will suffice the requirement. You need to print it out, get wet signature on it. Scan it and attach to your application.
doc7 - applicant birth certificate
doc8 - applicant BRP
doc9 - applicant passport
doc10 - If applicant told us that their parent is a British citizen then you must provide us evidence of their citizenship. This could include their British passport, a certificate of citizenship or their birth certificate - I am not sure why this document is requested in the list since both the parents are not british citizen and only father holds valid ILR. Is it beacuse i have not added passport details of one of british citizen referee (i am still collecting information from professional referee and one british citizen referee). I just wanted to fill the form in advance so that i can arrange all the required documentation on time. Can you please guide on this? will this option disappear when i will include the passport details of referee? or i need to provide any declaration stating we are not british citizen and only one parent holds ILR? The form is for everyone and covers all grounds. You simply answer or provided responses to what affects you.N/A in this case.
