British citizen but travel on Indian passport

Hi Experts,

My application for naturalisation has been approved recently and the citizenship ceremony has been booked in. As stated in the guidelines, my BRP will be invalid from the date of ceremony. However, I need to travel to India a month after my ceremony by which I will not have my OCI card.

I understand that Indian government allows a 3 month grace period to travel on Indian passport and wanted to confirm:
Can I travel to India on my Indian passport using the grace period rule and then come back on my British passport to enter UK? I will not be able to enter with Indian passport as the BRP becomes invalid after citizenship certificate.

Thanks.

You cant travel, instead you can get E-visa and travel to India. You will E-visa on the same day or next day, then you can plan your OCI

When you get your British passport, your Indian one instantly becomes invalid.

There is a grace period of three months after acquisition of foreign nationality (to be counted from the date of registration / Naturalisation Certificate and not from the date of foreign passport) for using Indian passport for travel. But the grace period is not applicable once the British/Foreign Passport is acquired, he/she should travel only on the British/Foreign passport once the same is obtained even if he/she is within the grace period of three months.
