TAX CREDIT OVERPAYMENT/CITIZENSHIP

Hello forum members,

I am eligible to apply for naturalisation but there is one thing that's bothering me. I have tax credit overpayment which is being deducted from my universal credit. Initially I set up a repayment plan with DWP to take it from my employer but after I subsequently applied for universal credit then DPW stopped deduction of earning and start taking it from my universal credit. The original amount was 1200 pounds but it is now roughly 400 pounds still to pay.

My question is will this affect my nationality application even though there is currently a repayment plan in place?

Thanks in anticipation.

Thank you for your reply.

Another question if you can help please:

Will direct earnings attachment count towards HOME OFFICE minimum earning threshold of 18,600 for spouse visa, or will that be disregarded ?

Many thanks!

Please start a topic in the Immigration for Family sub forum for any spouse visa questions. This topic you have is for citizenship questions. They are two completely separate and unrelated applications.
