My brother finally got an approval after 6 months of waiting. However, when he called the Council, they had no information about his citizenship. What can be do in this situation?
Thank you.

What the council is waiting for is the certificates which are given out at the ceremony.
This often takes a while and hopefully you get an email or call shortly. Best to wait a bit longer, appreciate it's been six months already but you are almost there (except for the passport).

Thank you for replying.
The approval from the HO says invitation to ceremony, so it's strange that there is no information available when calling the Council.

Worth pointing out that it’s the council that arranges the ceremony not the Home Office. Whilst they will send approval they are not involved in arranging the ceremony. And council will only book in applicant when they receive the certificate.
Not an integrated process!
