Trips outside the UK section mistake

Hello all,
Thank you for reading this and I really hope someone can shed some clarity/advice on my situation.

After attending my biometric appointment, where I submitted all docs and a cover letter, I realised the version of cover letter I brought with me did not include a clarification on the trips outside the UK/ stamp in my expired passport (which was also scanned during my appointment).

During one of my trips outside the UK to an EU country (as an EU citizen), I also took a day trip to a non-EU country for a few hours (which got me a stamp upon re-entry to the EU country, although not an entry stamp as they were very lax!). As this was not needed as a line in the trips section (under 2 days and as a multiple destination), I wanted to clarify it on the cover letter and it's now not there!

What are my options here?

I've now uploaded the correct cover letter to the Sopra Steria account (a couple of hours after my appointment and confirmation email but before 22:00) but not sure if they'll see it or not. I'd also purchased the document checking service but no one seemed to do any checking, just scanning.

Can I ask them to replace the submitted cover letter with the correct cover letter? Will it impact my application, even if it is such a small oversight and does not affect the number of days I was away (well under 450).

I'm pulling my hair out over such a silly, small mistake :(.

Thank you again xx

What are my options here? There's no requirement to clarify what countries you visit. The most important is how much time you spent whilst you were outside the UK. Example, you travel on a 5 day trip to Spain, after day 1, you visited Morocco from Spain for 2 days and returned to Spain. Drove down to Germany and back to Spain. You then returned back to the UK.
All those trips do not need to be accounted for. Simply went to Spain 5 days and came back is perfect.

I've now uploaded the correct cover letter to the Sopra Steria account (a couple of hours after my appointment and confirmation email but before 22:00) but not sure if they'll see it or not. After your biometrics appointment, you can still upload as the system allows you, but no one sees it anymore. So it's a wasted effort. I'd also purchased the document checking service but no one seemed to do any checking, just scanning.

Can I ask them to replace the submitted cover letter with the correct cover letter? Will it impact my application, even if it is such a small oversight and does not affect the number of days I was away (well under 450). You're fine. Don't overthink the process.

Count only whole days when absent from the UK.

Thank you so much for the kind replies - I really appreciate the insights.

I did work myself into a tizzy, since the guidance I was reading mentioned all passport stamps from the last 5 years need to be explained (I guess mine is especially confusing as it shows when I left the non-EU country but not when I entered, so as far as they can see it may not be just a day but even then it falls within my EU trip dates anyway).

It is hard to not overthink but I will try my best :)

Will keep this post updated for how things go - hoping for a happy ending for everyone on these boards xx
