Consent question

Dear All,

1. When applying for naturalisation online, do we need to sign the consent for the Home Office to verify application information? (link: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... onsent.pdf) The online document checklist is not asking for this but I was reading that some people provided it?

2. Can referee declarations be backdated - for example, I apply on 10 Oct 2023 but the referee signed the form on 7 Oct 2023? Thanks.
