I got approval for my citizenship application and one of my children, but not my wife and the other child. Is this normal or is there an issue?

Without knowing all the details, hard to comment, but registration and naturalisation are always individual applications and can be assessed separately.

Was the child who got approval born in the UK? Keep in mind that the rules are requirements for children born in the UK and those born abroad are different.
