Hello Family !
I would like to apply for MN1 for my child under 18.
She was born in UK and is holding a residence permit.
I have Indefinite Leave now and i would like to apply citizenship for her . But she is abroad at moment and will be staying there for few months.

My question is can i apply MN1 online and book the biometrics appointment in Africa ?

Or do i need paper application filled sent from Africa to here in UK ?

Logistically I’d suggest waiting until she returns to the UK, insofar as she has valid leave to return.

From abroad, you need to do the paper application and send all the originals to the UK by post/courier.

Simpler to wait till she returns to the UK. When does she turn 18?

She is turning 4 next month .
At the minute she holds pre-settlement card so i guess she can come back anytime within the 2year period.

Best to wait until she comes back and apply online for her, you are in no rush after all. Make sure she has adequate health coverage while you wait for her registration application to be processed, in case she is on a UK visa that will expire soon.
