Hi all together,

yesterday I receivend the information, from my council, that I could book my ceremony, because they have received the approval of my citizenship application from the home office.

I was happy ,to read that, but I haven't received the approval email, till now! and can't book the ceremony. The invitation says,I need the approval letter, because they ask for the booking several informations, which I only find in my approval email.

How long should I wait?
How can I get the approval email, which was for sure sent to the council, but not to me?

Thanks for any suggestion/help.

Claudia

The council has your certificate so you are approved for sure.
There's often a delay in receiving the actual approval email could be any day from now.
Recommend book your ceremony now (if it fits with your schedule).

You normally get the invitation email on Mondays. I received my council email on Friday 25th Aug and got the home office atlas email on 4th Sep and the citizenship ceremony was on 27th Sep. So chances are if you haven't received the email today, wait till next Monday. Also, when I went for my ceremony, the lady there was saying to show the email from the council or from the home office. They didn't check both. My council was Luton Council just for reference.

Thanks to both of you for your reply.
About 10min ago,I received the approval email and booked directly my ceremony.

This forum was really a big help in the whole process of applying for Brit. citizenship.

Thanks a lot to everyone who helped me in achieving it.
