Apply for citizenship/benefits

Hi,
I just got my ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) visa few days ago (SET-M 5yrs Spouse route). And since my ILR is based on spouse of a British citizen, I heard that I can apply for British citizenship anytime (without waiting for a year). Is this right?

Also, I want to ask for advice regarding benefits. I wanted to apply for benefits too (Universal Credit) now that I have ILR status. Should I apply for benefits first? And then apply for British citizenship after? Or can I apply for both at the same time?

Hope someone can advice please! Thanks!

Yes - if you satisfy all the requirements - guidance: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... n-guidance

Hope someone can advice please! Thanks! Please review the guidance for naturalisation.

These are mutually inclusive events. One has no weight on the other.
