Hi,

I'm in the process applying MN1 form application for my kid. In the documents required section, it is mentioned as:

"You must provide your documents after you submit your application, these can be originals or copies. Any passports provided must be originals."

I thought we need to submit the documents online and dont need to send any physical documents. Can someone clarify the above statement is just referring the scanned copy submission should be from original passport or should we need to send original passport?

Note: We are planning to travel abroad in few months time. I think it wont be an issue if I submit only scanned copies online.

All documents are uploaded no originals are retained. That statement is outdated. So ignore.

Basically you can travel after biometrics, all documents are scan only.

Thanks for the swift response alterhase58.

Am I right thinking that there won't be any issue in travelling abroad after applying MN1 application? What if we get the approval when my kid was abroad as my kid would be officially British national at that time?

Travel is fine.

Presumably child is traveling with valid BRP?
At the UK border present BRP and explain. If you have an email take it with you

Note, a British citizen as child might be on return cannot be refused entry might take a bit longer to explain.
